Renowned Australian designer and bridal couturier Steven Khalil will showcase his new Couture Collection during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week 30 June-4 July this year.

Steven will debut the new collection entitled “Dame en Fleurs” along with new pieces from the Steven Khalil Jewellery Collection to selected media, buyers and stylists during Paris Haute Couture Fashion Week in the European fashion capital on July 1.

The collection takes notes from Art Deco and Oriental flower elements and combines exquisitely detailed floral and 3D beadwork with textured fabrics and layering. The brands signature dramatic, feminine and expertly tailored pieces will also be highlighted. Featuring colourways of dove and pale pink, cornflower blues to deep jades and dramatic blacks rounding out the palette.

This story explores the anatomy and fragility of flowers- their natural peculiarity and softness, while meshing and emboldening these notions with a juxtaposition of strength and romanticism so often seen in his works.

Steven has envisioned a collection rich with surface detailing and using exclusive embroidery techniques leading to the creation of the final pieces. Each interpretation is unique in its construction while still flowing and exuding the same sentiment.

Steven is excited about this new venture for the brand: “It has been a life-long dream of mine to present a collection in Paris- the city, the culture and its rich history mean so much to me and I cannot wait to share this exciting new chapter”

As his first foray into Europe draws near Steven has enlisted the support of event management and public relations company Mephistopheles Productions- an experienced and well connected production house and press office with years of success throughout Europe.

Steven has also aligned with previous MBFWA partner Billini Shoes to complete each individual look.

The showing will take place at the incredibly historic and ornate Salon France-Ameriques in Paris. A sumptuous group of heritage rooms that will compliment and propel this beautiful new collection to grow and blossom on the international stage.

With international expansion and fans like Kylie Jenner, Emily Ratajkowski, Jennifer Lopez, Taraji P.Henson, Bella Thorne, Dannii Minogue, Guiliana Rancic, HRH Princess Olympia of Greece, Paula Abdul and Kelly Rowland lining up for his couture creations- 2019 is looking to be his busiest year yet.
