Well removed from fashion week, Thredbo gears up for an onslaught of the Clicquot champagne set

As Rosemount Australian Fashion Week in Sydney soldiers on and on and on, here’s one mega-sounding event that some social circuiteers will be marking in their diaries...

When the below media release came through, it just sounded like a complete and pure escape. So, here you go:

“Veuve Clicquot hits Thredbo this season with the arrival of Clicquot in the Snow 2010, a celebration of two of life’s great pleasures, Veuve Clicquot and après ski.

The inaugural Clicquot in the Snow will be held in Thredbo on Thursday 22 – Sunday 25 July, with champagne flowing at a series of unique Veuve Clicquot experiences. The village will turn “Clicquot yellow” with events including après ski parties, exclusive dinners, tastings, even gorgeous picnics in the snow.

J-Lo falls for dog collars from Southern Highlands doggie designer, Sniffany's

I like this story ‘cos it’s just so, well, unashamadly cute. It’s not about volcanic ash, health reform, Masterchef or Underbelly. It’s about dogs and I don’t even have one.

A local NSW doggy accessory designer has been showcased in J-Lo’s latest upcoming flick, The Back Up Plan.

Demand for luxury dog collars, created by the doggy design house ‘Sniffanys’, are hoping to sky rocket with the release of the flick on April 23 in the US and on May 20 in Australia.

This May ksubi returns to Rosemount Australian Fashion Week. ksubi’s first show in three years will be offsite at the Royal Hall of Industries in Moore Park and celebrates its 10th birthday with their new collection titled “One Via Zero”.

For ten years, ideas, individuality and authenticity has developed the Australian brand into an underground subculture, a lifestyle—an international presence with a cult following. Dan Single and George Gorrow, co-founders and directors of the brand, created ksubi as a culture of fashion, music and art, and are now thrilled to celebrate ten years of the collective with the finale show at RAFW, to be styled by Australia’s international fashion icon, Brana Wolf.

ksubi set the "who owns us" record straight

In a detailed media release, the directors of the Australian fashion brand, ksubi, have set their business re-structure straight.

“KSUBI RE-STRUCTURE COMPLETED: BACK TO BUSINESS
The new Directors of ksubi Pty Ltd today announced that the re-structure of the business operations has been completed.

In January 2010 ksubi entered into Voluntary Administration through Grant Thornton in an effort to re-structure and consolidate the denim fashion label’s business. This process is now complete.

The company is now controlled by a consortium of industry-experienced management including ksubi investor, Harry Hodge, ksubi founders, Dan Single and George Gorrow and shareholders of Bleach Pty Ltd.
