Captured by Australian photographer Benny Horne, the shoot was set in Melbourne’s iconic Spring Street to reflect the art, music and food culture associated with the city.

Inspired by the streets, the style and the people of Melbourne, Home Town celebrates the city in which it has been creating and designing for over 40 years.

The Home Town campaign also brings stories from the Live With Us online journal to print, profiling Melbourne taste makers and artistry to attain their take on the best of what the city has to offer.

This season the womenswear collection is centred on more polished, technical fabrics ranged back with the premium casual lifestyle pieces Country Road is known for. The range contrasts fitted, bodycon silhouettes against more fluid fabrications such as soft pleating, satin and velvet. Jewel tones of marigold, rose and champagne are anchored by a trans-seasonal colour palette of bone neutrals and bold blacks.

For men the collection has been designed to encourage new ways of layering, building upon less formal foundations such as denim and casual shirting in combination with fine gauge knitwear and item jackets for full outfitting options. Modern suiting styles put a contemporary twist on classic looks with the windowpane and micro-grid styles offering newness to the discerning CR man.

Inspired by the beauty of an Australian summer, Country Road Home takes its cues from the Australian landscape. The collection reflects an effortlessly stylish and authentic Australian way of life. Drawing inspiration from the colours, textures and forms of the Australian landscape and native flora, there’s a focus on natural materials and soft palettes that balance simplicity of design and quality materials with a unique modern luxury.

Classic foundations of denim, striped essentialsand sweats form the base for the children’s collections which are expanded by botanical and animal themes throughout the season. Sweet dresses and jumpsuits in bold black and white checks are softened by summer garden themed pieces in soothing mint and pastel tones for girls, while spliced separates in red and charcoal are seen in jungle tropical inspired apparel for boys.

Country Road’s Spring 2017 collection is in-store and online from Thursday 3 August 2017.
