Ferrari is proud to be a principal partner of the Reigning Men: Fashion in Menswear 1715 – 2015 exhibition that opens exclusive to the Powerhouse Museum, Sydney from 2 May – 14 October 2018.

Direct from the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA), the exhibition features some of the world’s most iconic menswear designers spanning over 300 years and traversing the globe.

“Art, design and tailoring are intrinsically linked in our brand’s heritage and Ferrari is proud to support this excellent and important exhibition celebrating men’s fashion and design,” said CEO Ferrari Australasia, Herbert Appleroth. “Ferrari clients have always held a strong appreciation for quality, style, and fine craftsmanship. We encourage anyone with an interest Ferrari, fashion, style and craftsmanship to visit and take part.”

As part of the exhibition, the Powerhouse Museum will host a Ferrari Atelier space where the public will be encouraged to create their very own personalised Ferrari Portofino. Every car that leaves the factory in Maranello is completely bespoke and personalised to client’s individual specifications. This display has been designed to provide audiences with a unique insight into the process behind personalising a Ferrari.

A Ferrari car will also be incorporated into a display that celebrates stylish men from throughout history who have owned or driven a Ferrari – with famous names like Ralph Lauren, Mick Jagger, Roger Vadim, Peter Sellers and Clint Eastwood amongst them.

Presented by the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences (MAAS) Centre for Fashion, the exhibition features over 130 garments ranging from extravagant silks worn by 18th century aristocrats to the flawless tailoring of 19th century dandies to internationally renowned fashion brands. MAAS holds the nation’s most extensive collection of Australian fashion and comprises over 30,000 objects, from garments and fabric samples from the nation’s top fashion exports to patterns, sketches, accessories and fashion photography.
