For fourteen years, the highly-anticipated G’Day USA Los Angeles Black Tie Gala has honored prominent Australians from film, television, music, sports and culture for their individual contribution to the US-Australia relationship. This year’s landmark 15th anniversary Gala takes place on Saturday, January 27 at the Intercontinental Hotel in downtown Los Angeles.

Oscar-winning actor, Heath Ledger (Brokeback Mountain, The Dark Knight) will be honored posthumously with a G’Day USA Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of his impressive body of work and for having become a significant presence in Hollywood. Colin Farrell will present the honor.

Actress and producer, Margot Robbie (I,Tonya, The Wolf of Wall Street) will receive an Excellence in Film Award in recognition of her outstanding performances, her rapid rise to become one of Hollywood’s most sought after actresses, and her recent inclusion in Time Magazine’s list of 2017’s most influential people. Amy Adams will present the award.

Emmy Award winning producer Bruna Papandrea (TV’s “Big Little Lies,” Gone Girl), will be honored with an Outstanding Achievement in Film and Television Award in recognition of her success as a highly acclaimed industry leader. Isla Fisher will present the award.

Red carpet arrivals and cocktail reception will be followed by the awards show and dinner, featuring premium Australian food and wine curated by Australian chef, Curtis Stone. Headline entertainment for the evening includes Natalie Conway, Delta Goodrem, Human Nature, Isaiah Firebrace, Jessica Mauboy, Hugh Sheridan and Rebel Wilson.  Also, in celebration of the 40th Anniversary of the release of Grease, there will be a live musical medley and tribute to music producer and songwriter John Farrar who will be honored for his Outstanding Contribution to the Arts.

G’Day USA Champion, actress and director Rachel Griffiths, will partner with actor and Australian Survivor host Jonathan LaPaglia, to co-host the awards show and dinner, with Australian television personality Richard Wilkins as MC.
