Official Mindfulness Partner of the Australian Open and athletic apparel brand lululemon will open a Showcase Store at the Australian Open for the duration of the tournament (14th – 27th January). The lululemon Showcase Store will be located on the new High Street retail precinct next to Rod Laver Arena and will feature a special edition lululemon x Australian Open capsule collection.

The range will include options that are perfect for tennis fans including the Swiftly Short Sleeve and Racerback as well as the Metal Vent Tech Short Sleeve. The AO branded collection will be available only at the lululemon Showcase Store, whilst other custom lululemon product will be available in select Victorian stores and online at www.lululemon.com.au.

The Showcase Store will feature elements from lululemon’s Research and Development facility in Vancouver, Whitespace™. The guests will have the opportunity to see the exclusive Silverescent fabric technology as well as learn about lululemon’s ‘science of feel’ and how their revolutionary products are developed and tested for athletes, by athletes.

The lululemon Showcase Store will also encourage the guests to ‘Set Humongous Goals’, inspired from a line in the lululemon manifesto that encourages guests to set huge goals. In-store, guests will have the opportunity to enter their own personal goals that they are working on. These goals will then feature on a digital ‘hero wall’ streaming the goals of lululemon guests for the duration of the tournament.

“Vision and goal setting is at the centre of our culture at lululemon, and we are excited to bring this to life via the digital goal wall. We are very proud of our partnership with Tennis Australia and this year our guests at the Australian Open will have access to not only our limited-edition product capsule, but also a unique way to set their goals for 2019 and beyond.” – Paul Tinkler, Managing Director, lululemon Australia/New Zealand.

In addition to the Showcase Store, lululemon will be hosting mindful practices including five yoga sessions at the AO Tennis Club at Birrarung Marr. The yoga classes will be led by local lululemon ambassadors and guests will be able to register by visiting the lululemon Australia/New Zealand Facebook page.

The classes will run from 8:00am – 9:00am on the following dates:
Monday 14th January – Sarah Metzger
Wednesday 16th January – Ryan Mannix
Friday 18th January – Jess Dohnt
Monday 21st January – Sarah Metzger
Tuesday 22nd January – Jess Dohnt

Since the brands inception nearly 20 years ago, mindfulness practices like yoga and meditation remain at the core of what lululemon stands for, aside from its technical athletic apparel offering. lululemon have learnt from athletes, ambassadors, and yogis that mindfulness leads to peak performance in all aspects of life – including sport – through a strong connection between the mind, heart, and physical body.

The brand pops-up at the Australian Open after their involvement as the Official Athletic Apparel and Mindfulness partner of the Mastercard Hopman Cup in Perth.
