Kicking off the 2018 edition of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, the‘Mercedes-Benz Presents’ show will this year be presented by Australian luxury fashion brand CAMILLA AND MARC. Georgia Fowler, the internationally renowned 25-year-old supermodel, is confirmed to walk in the show, kicking off a week-long celebration of the Australian fashion industry.

Georgia also features in the key imagery created for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia, celebrating the notion of ‘Timeless Beauty’. She wears a stunning CAMILLA AND MARC ensemble in the shoot and shares the spotlight with another model with plenty of star power – a striking Mercedes-AMG G 63 ‘Edition 1’, flown from Germany for a number of promotionl events ahead of its Australian launch in August.

The original Mercedes-Benz G-Class was launched in 1979 with a distinctive, rugged design that has powerfully stood the test of time. It remains one of theworld’s most sought-after and genuinely capable off-road vehicles.

“The G-Class has been my dream car forever,” Georgia says. “You can take it downa mountain, go skiing, you can go to the beach, you can cross the outback. It’s a sexy, strong, powerful car. If I didn’t live in New York I would definitely buy one!”

The daughter of Australian professional golfer Peter Fowler, Georgia grew up in a succession of Mercedes-Benz vehicles owned by her father. She even learned to drive in an E-Class saloon.

“To me, ‘Timeless Beauty’ is something that can take you through the ages – much the same as the [E-Class] that dad got 25 years ago that he loved, and then my sister and I loved 20 years later,” Georgia says. “It’s an aesthetic that lasts forever, and that’s what Mercedes-Benz is about.”

Camilla Freeman-Topper, the co-founder of CAMILLA AND MARC, says she is excited about the addition of Georgia Fowler to the ‘Mercedes-Benz Presents’show.

“Our Resort 18 Collection draws on the beauty and strength of the natural world and forward-thinking women who have shaped our view of cultural landscapes throughout time,” Camilla says. “Georgia Fowler is a woman who encapsulates many of these qualities and we’re looking forward to working with her.”

The ‘Mercedes-Benz Presents’ show is the traditional opener for a week packedwith runway shows and trade opportunities, as the fashion industry comes together to celebrate the best of Australia’s established and emerging fashion talent.

Mercedes-Benz Australia-Pacific CEO and Managing Director Horst von Sanden says the combination of Georgia Fowler and the CAMILLA AND MARC brand alongside the latest iteration of the iconic Mercedes-Benz G-Class brings together everything that Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia stands for.

“For us, this is a dream team,” he says. “Capturing the notion of ‘Timeless Beauty’to celebrate the launch of the G-Class is easy when you have so much talent in front of the lens.
