Moët & Chandon announced its annual Moët & Chandon Grand Day on Saturday 9th June, a day of sparkling celebrations around the globe where, for 24 hours, friends and guests of the Champagne House come together to raise their champagne glasses in a worldwide toast to the memorable moments that bring joy to their lives.

This year, Moët & Chandon renamed the annual “Moët Party Day” rendezvous that debuted in 2016, continuing its festive tradition with an even more glittering lineup of extraordinary events planned for Moët & Chandon Grand Day in over 80 countries that will bring together over a million people from Hong Kong to Lagos and Geneva to Montreal.

From day to evening and well into the night, Moët & Chandon raised a bubbling toast at each of the worldwide celebrations with its full range of delectable champagnes.

Locally, Moët & Chandon partnered with leading hospitality group, Merivale, for the second year running. Together they hosted two exclusive #MoetGrandDay events on Saturday, 9th June – the Moët Grand Brunch at Sydney’s iconic Establishment Main Bar and Moët Grand Party at sophisticated cocktail bar, Hemmesphere. The Grand Party saw a stunning headline acoustic performance by Sydney icons and critically acclaimed band, The Preatures and DJ Set by electronic musician, Basenji.

Moët & Chandon Ambassador, Jesinta Franklin was excited to be returning to the event this year, “People have been celebrating their own special moments with Moët for years, so being able to bring the world together to raise a toast to these occasions together is really incredible, I’m excited to be involved!”

Since 1743, Moët & Chandon has been a master at creating memorable celebrations, and some of its pioneering celebratory installations, like the champagne pyramid, have become a worldwide tradition. Today the champagne pyramid is a signature symbol of the House and will be the spectacular centerpiece of the events planned on Moët & Chandon Grand Day, to set the “flow” for this day of overflowing and festive generosity.

As guests partook in the festivities, a countdown to the top of each hour culminated in a toast around the champagne pyramid to set the cheerful cadence for this magical day.

“The name Moët & Chandon is synonymous today with celebration because for 275 years, we have combined our ‘savoir-faire’ (know-how) with our own art of the fête to perfect a unique ‘savoir-fête’ that has made our champagnes a great choice for toasting both intimate moments and important milestones,” says Nathalie Normand, Moët & Chandon International Marketing and Communications Director.

“On Moët & Chandon Grand Day, we share the magic of champagne and celebrate a day dedicated to the joys of life.” Globally, Moët & Chandon Grand Day flowed from hour to hour with uniquely enchanting experiences, starting with day-time celebrations and gourmet brunches served at elegant poolside lounges, decorated rooftop bars and beach front venues.
