Ray-Ban, a global leader in premium eyewear, has opened its largest South Pacific store at Chadstone – The Fashion Capital. The new 100sqm store showcases the largest assortment of Ray-Ban sun and optical wear in Australia, including over 107 brand new limited-editions, exclusive to the store. Following the recent Doncaster opening, this is the second step in a series of openings that will bring a whole new immersive Ray-Ban experience to Australians in new exciting locations in 2019.

The Chadstone store offers comprehensive eye-testing and full optometry services with a full-time optometrist trained in the latest eyecare technology. In addition, the store offers authentic Ray-Ban lenses (clear and prescription sun) to complement any of the 800 sun, optical and junior styles (both international and alternative fit available).

“The Ray-Ban brand is rooted in music and pop culture and the Chadstone store is a reflection of the brand’s DNA, providing quality, fashion-forward eyewear collections alongside Ray-Ban classic and iconic styles,” says Alfonso Cerullo, Luxottica General Manager Optical Retail Australia & New Zealand.

The design of the new Chadstone Ray-Ban store takes inspiration from iconic Ray-Ban stores in Milan, Tokyo and New York. The spirit of creativity has shaped the store environment, bringing Ray-Ban’s heritage into the present, offering all generations a simulative, innovative shopping experience. In-store, digital tools will create an engaging journey where customers can dive into product stories and the history of the brand, in an environment that reflects the brand’s iconic DNA.

“This new Chadstone store plays a key role in Ray Ban’s expansion in Australia and follows in the footsteps of our openings in New York, London, Tokyo and Milan”, says Alessandro Chiarelli, Global Ray-Ban Brand Director. “We are constantly looking at ways to provide new, world-class experiences for consumers within our stores. We want to translate the core principles of the Ray-Ban spirit into a physical space, the best expression of the Ray-Ban brand.”

Among the key features, Ray-Ban Chadstone featured Ray-Ban REMIX, an innovative digital service that allows customers to personalize and customize their own Ray-Ban styles and have them delivered direct to their home.

Timeless style, authenticity and freedom of expression sit at the heart of the Ray-Ban brand, a pioneer in sun and prescription eyewear for generations. Since the introduction of the iconic Aviator model created for the pilots of the United States Army, Ray-Ban has been at the forefront of cultural change; a symbol of self-expression worn by celebrities, musicians, artists and public figures all around the world.

For the upcoming holiday season, Ray-Ban Chadstone will showcase two of the brand’s seminal hero styles – the Meteor and the Nina – both born in the 1960s. The Meteor is a practical, modern style rooted in nostalgia, reflective of America coming alive in a post-war era. Inspired by the Wayfarer, it comes with a rounder lens and larger bridge, and customers will be able to choose between a firmly 1960s style in black, a tortoiseshell finish, or an ice-coloured see-through frame bringing the style into a contemporary look.

The Nina features a sharp cat-eye frame, with a keyhole bridge and iconic rivets in a style that captures the spirit of 1960s sensuality. This style comes in distinct tortoiseshell prints, acutely coloured lenses in a flattering palette of washed violet, yellow or orange, providing small markers of individuality.

The Chadstone store also plays host to the Ray-Ban Titanium range, developed following the recent Luxottica acquisition of Fukui Megane (est. 1969), a prestigious Japanese producer of titanium and solid gold eyewear. Bringing together world leaders in production, craftsmanship and design with one-of-a-kind style, this exclusive Titanium capsule collection demonstrates Ray-Ban’s continued innovation. Iconic styles within the ultra-light titanium range include the Ray-Ban Aviator, Ray-Ban Caravan and Ray-Ban Round.
