Led by Sydney artist Will French, this indulgent 2-hour sketching workshop is inspired by the Museum’s popular program Sundown Sketch Club, which books out months in advance. Using a diverse range of fine art materials, participants are invited to explore their creativity and have their hand at still life drawing, guided by personalised tips from Will French.

They also get to explore and play with a series of scents, fruits, flowers and spices all inspired by the delicate aromas of Ruinart Brut and Ruinart Rosé – such as cherries, berries, rose, or pomegranate. And as a toast to Ruinart’s long-standing relationship with the arts, they get to taste both Ruinart Brut and Ruinart Rosé, the indulgent expression of the Ruinart Taste, with chardonnay grapes mainly harvested from the Côte des Blancs and Montagne de Reims terroirs in the Champagne region.

Each event includes an olfactory challenge testing each participant’s sense of smell, with one lucky person going home with a bottle of Ruinart.

Beginners welcome – no prior sketching experienced required. Materials, drinks and cheese provided.

Ruinart Summer Sketch Club is on Wednesdays 21, 28 February, 14, 28 March & 11 April 2018, 7–8.45pm. Tickets: $69 ($55 for MCA Members and Concession). Booking essential.
