David Jones has welcomed guests and media to The Art of Wellness, the final event in a two day series of immersive experiences in Tasmania to launch to AW19 season.

Held in MONA’s Faro, attendees were hosted by David Jones General Manager of Beauty, Rachel Duffy-Packer and Australian actress, Teresa Palmer.

“Wellness is no longer just a matter of diet and exercise,” says David Jones General Manager of Beauty, Rachel Duffy-Packer. “This season, The Art of Living has given us a platform to discuss the direction of this movement which has many touch-points from inner beauty supplements and aromatherapy, to mindfulness and conscious beauty products.

Our customers are doing more research and making more informed shopping decisions, and their feedback allows us to continue to explore the way wellness is translated into our offering at David Jones.”

David Jones showcased its expanding lifestyle offering from a range of categories including appliances by Vitamix, tech products by Bose, homewares from Keep Cup and aromatherapy from Aveda.

Australian home-grown brands capturing the global market were the hero of The Art of Wellness, including WelleCo, Kora, The Beauty Chef and Bear Vitamins. David Jones ambassadors and guests showcased the latest in lifestyle and activewear from Australian designers including P.E Nation, Jac + Jack, Bassike, Viktoria & Woods and The Upside.

Guests at The Art of Wellness arrived to custom MONA smoothies blended with Beauty Chef and Tasmanian Raspberries, and enjoyed Aveda oil massage before a mindfulness session with celebrated meditation and yoga expert, Hobart-based Helen Cushing. The event marked the conclusion of the two day series celebrating the launch of David Jones AW19, The Art of Living.
