The Gin Mill Social is a lavish 1920’s dinner party with live music, an extravagant menu, swing dancing and pop up performances that was created by the very talented team at Slide.

Sydney loves a pop up, and the glamorous speakeasy event will take over the top floor of Castlereagh Boutique Hotel at Cellos Grand Dining Room, a heritage-listed venue that has been beautifully restored to its Art Deco glory as a truly stylish playground for the evening.

‘Gin Mill’, as it is informally known, has a renowned following and has been well fixated within Sydney’s cabaret society since its inception in 2013 with its deliciously old-fashioned dress code of ‘Guys in ties. Girls in pearls”.

“A night of glamour, food, drinks and entertainment… don’t forget your dancing shoes.” – Broadsheet

Party guests will enjoy a generous 4 course dinner with food inspired by ritzy banquets of the era. Music is loud and lively, and pop-up performances punctuate the night, followed by dancing til late to the jump jive and beat swing sounds of the Jordan C Thomas Quartet… and the obligatory sipping of swanky ‘cocktails n hooch’.

More than a dinner party, the Gin Mill Social is the perfect way to give Gatsby a run for his money!
