VENROY hosted the opening of their sixth store in Australia with a celebratory summer party. Spilling onto the streets of the infamous shopping strip, The Intersection, the linen clad crowd moved from their natural habitat in Bondi to the premium Paddington shopping strip, in celebration of the cult Australian label.

Having developed from the graphic swim shorts from which their name was built, their new range of womenswear, now into its fourth season, has signified an evolution within the brand. The rich cottons and hero linen fabrics in sorbets, mustards and blue stripe looked harmonious in the new premium fit out.

Founder Sean Venturi says, “When VENROY first started, we set out to capture the relaxed spirit of Bondi. It’s amazing to see how the brand has evolved from boardshorts to a more premium offering, now including suiting and our incredible range of womenswear. This store encapsulates our Australian heritage but also marks a new, exciting phase for the brand.”

Guests ate delicious bites from the stores new local and Intersection favourite, Jackies café. Canapes included salmon with crème fraiche and roast tomato tarts, as well as a selection of sushi including salmon, cooked tuna and avocado rolls along with salmon nigiri.

Stone & Wall beers provided by The Bellevue Hotel, as well as Chivas, Grey Goose, FIJI and C Coconut Water were in copious supply, ensuring guests were well hydrated throughout the evening.

The timeless resort wear is a great example of an Australian brand bucking the struggling retail trend. VENROY opens their Paddington store shortly after a successful launch of their James Street store in Brisbane in October.

The store is open now from Monday to Friday, 10am-6pm and Saturday and Sunday’s.

Notable guests included: Jarrod Scott, Tom McKeown, Luci Taffs, Jessica Lawson, Oliver & Sasha Benz and Britt Brock.
