Australian designer, Tina Madsen-Walcott, has launched her new 2025 summer headwear collection – a blend of timeless elegance and modern luxury.
The new Tina M Copenhagen collection takes inspiration from Danish design, offering an inventive range of hats – from fedora to breton, cowboy to cloche – that reimagines traditional styles with a contemporary twist.
It’s ironic that Tina M Copenhagen evolved from a country where the sun is shy.
“I settled in Australia from Denmark over 30 years ago and completing my degree in Biochemistry highlighted my awareness of the damage the sun can cause,” says Tina.

The collection blends function, luxury and style and boasts Australian-first UPF50+ raffia braid designs, packable travel-friendly options and customised wind-resistant sizing.

*Sustainably-sourced Madagascan raffia: While multiple designs showcase the highest quality and softest strands, in an Australian-first the Capri, Cabo and Catalina styles feature a raffia braid technique that provides UPF50+ rated sun protection.
*Flexibraid® textile innovation: The Flexibraid® designs are crush-resistant, packable by folding down the crown, UPF50+ rated, rain-resistant and fade-resistant. Flexibraid® is was invented in Australia by Rigon Headwear.
*Customised Fit: The internal discreet ComfyFit size adjuster provides a custom made fit with enhanced comfort and wind-resistant versatility.
*Meticulously Design: The collection incorporates the finest quality materials and craftsmanship. The crochet raffia designs with a longer brim takes up to 4 days to handcraft the crocheted hood.
