BIG W has previewed its Autumn/Winter 2021 Nomadic Luxe collection. Designed locally, the range is inspired by the inner traveller and will start landing in stores from 4 March, with womenswear starting from $15 and nothing in the range over $49.
The new season A/W collection features on-trend fabrics, prints and designs influenced by boho style and 70s chic and is the epitome of BIG W’s approach to fashion – mixing style with versatility, quality and affordability.
On the collection, Claire Harahap, Senior Designer at BIG W, said: “The global nomadic look has been trending in the fashion capitals and highstreets across the world and is reflective of the times we are in, with more people working, entertaining and holidaying at home. We’ve taken inspiration from these catwalks and translated for our BIG W customer, bringing a relaxed approach to dressing that features beautiful, on trend 70s inspired boho prints and fabrics and detailing.”
BIG W’s range features a mix and match of neutral colours and discreet tones, such as Camel, Olive, Grape and Marigold, with hero prints like Mystic Paisley, Marrakech Dots and Animal; giving the outfits a wanderlust, boho feel.
Volume peasant blouses and tiering are key across the collection whilst outerwear standouts include the cosy Teddy Trucker and Metallic Puffers with chimney neck for added warmth and style. Fabrics such as cable knitwear feature heavily and pair perfectly with denim or tiered skirts for a winter fashion look. Faux leather items add luxe to the collection, providing a nod to 70s chic.
Donny Galella, celebrity stylist who has worked with BIG W, said: “BIG W is really turning high-end fashion on its head, championing affordable, easy to dress style that makes women of all shapes and sizes look and feel good. My hot pick for the cooler months is the &Me Leather-look dress for just $40 which is perfect for a day or night look. Keep it fresh and fun with a white t-shirt and sneakers during the day, or elevate it for date night with a black blouse and strappy heels.”
Establishing itself as a true apparel retailer, BIG W local, in-house design team has produced a stunning clothing line for the new season, offering Australian women great value on fashion pieces and wardrobe essentials.
