Michael Lo Sordo presents Resort ’22 at Bambini Trust for Afterpay Australian Fashion Week

Australian designer Michael Lo Sordo has presented Resort’22, a meditation on midnight, moonlight and his muses.

The Michael Lo Sordo muses assist him in building up his collections seasonally, inspiring him to offer them wardrobe updates that fit into their lifestyles – taking them from day to night and between emotions. From casual glamour to sexy modernity, Resort ‘22 echoes of soft lunar lights and full moon moods. Night silks in neutral palettes meet pops of colours and fuses with Michaels relaxed take on tailoring.
Playful draping across signature brand textures and fabrications including wools, cottons, leathers and silks feature throughout, as Michael Lo Sordo celebrates local makers and 100% Australian wools where relevant.

A spirited soiree introduced the new collection, with a celebration of and with the muses who inspire Michael at Bambini Trust.
With a playlist by Dan Luscome, guests were treated to intimate dinner in the Bambini private dining room, scented by Trudon. Michael’s muses sipped on Hendricks Lunar cocktails, Perrier Jouët champagne and were treated to a preview presentation of the new collection on arrival, bringing Paris to Sydney for one night.
The collection also introduces Michael Lo Sordo’s partnership with the LG gram laptop range, the sleek, lightweight and durable laptop integrates seamlessly with the collection and was featured in Michael’s presentation at the soiree to showcase convenient work and life use.
Of the partnership, Michael says, “I am excited to be working with LG Electronics Australia -. When the company showed me the LG gram laptop, I was amazed at how lightweight it was. And honestly, as I am constantly working on the go, this device has become my go to.”

Muses in attendance included Georgia Fowler, George Maple, Nicole Millar, Victoria Lee, Jessica Gomes, Sarah Ellen, Yan Yan Chan, Jessica Mauboy and Melanie Grant.
