Spring Comes to Husk with the New Collection: Alchemy

Under the name Alchemy, Husk presents its latest collection for SS21, headed by Creative Director Kirrily Johnston and inspired by a desired optimism in the ever-changing times that we are living in.

“We have all learnt to balance beauty and strength in order to shape shift and become the true alchemists of our lives. Our spring wardrobe demonstrates the balance of strength and softness,” expressed Kirrily Johnston.

The collection encompasses relaxed linen three-piece suiting styles, combined with whimsical florals to demonstrate duality. Feminine dresses with structure and volume present in bright hues and elegant shapes and new denim silhouettes mix beautifully with interesting shirting and soft dressing styles. Textures reign supreme with salt washed linen, embroidery techniques, crisp cottons, beading and buttery vegan leathers.

Accessories such as layers of gold accessories dotted with coloured stones, the statement belt and cross body bag add personality to each outfit.

Key colours for the season include burnt orange, eggshell, violet, shades of blue and green and touches of yellow. Floral prints are key presenting in mini florals and large tropical versions with vibrant colour combinations. Textured laces and embroideries are also important. The new campaign and collection was shot by Georges Antoni, an Australian born fashion photographer, and will be released 10 August.

About to celebrate 26 successful years in business, Husk’s retail operations have expanded from its first boutique in Malvern Road, Toorak to include fourteen stores in some of Australia’s premier shopping precincts including two in New Zealand.
